At a special general meeting held earlier this month a new executive committee for the iBhayi Small Business Chamber was elected.

CHAIRMAN – David Stopforth

PORTFOLIO – Events / Internal

David is one of the founder members of the chamber, having previously filled the position of Vice-Chairman.  His portfolio is to organise and manage various chamber events, and as chairperson will liaise with local government, SBI and other business chambers.  He and his wife are the owners of a local business “Dynamic Print Worx”.

VICE-CHAIRMAN – Jaco Durandt

PORTFOLIO – Fundraising / Sponsorships / Social Media

Jaco is the owner of a local business “PE-Paralegal”. His legal knowledge will add depth to our committee. Jaco is in charge of fundraising and sponsorships, and together with Anette Davis the management of social media.

TREASURER – Melitta Jordaan

Melitta was one of the very first members to join the chamber when it started up.  She owns a local business “Accounting & Computer Services”.

SECRETARY – Carol Stopforth

PORTFOLIO – Corporate image / External media liaison

Carol is the wife of David, and together they were founder members of the chamber.  She and her husband own “Dynamic Print Worx” a local business which supplies branded corporate gifts & clothing.

She will manage the chamber’s corporate image, and will also be the liaison person with media houses.

COMMITTEE MEMBER – Pieter Kitshoff

PORTFOLIO – Training

Pieter was also one of the founding members of the chamber when it started up in 2018. He manages a local vehicle tracking company called “Wizedrive Tracking”.  He is in charge of putting together and managing the training function.

COMMITTEE MEMBER – Anette Davis

PORTFOLIO – Membership

Anette is the owner of a local brokerage business called “Omara Consulting”.  She will run with the membership / marketing function, as well as looking after the website and social media functions together with Jaco.

COMMITTEE MEMBER – Sam Mgunda

PORTFOLIO – Membership

Sam owns a local clothing manufacturing, tailoring & upholstering company called “Shambendt”.  He will assist Anette with the membership function, and will also be involved with training.

The committee is hard at work drawing up plans for an exciting rest of 2021.
